Overview

PharmaFest is a valuable resource for students seeking to understand the pharmaceutical industry and explore career opportunities, regardless of their degree program. This networking and educational event aims to demonstrate how any current degree can open doors to a career in pharma. Students will interact with regional pharmaceutical companies through informative sessions and activities, connect with ECU alumni working in these companies, and gain insights into company operations. PharmaFest serves as a career development platform where students can deepen their knowledge of the pharma industry, identify pathways to fulfilling careers, and discover both immediate and future job opportunities.

You’re invited to PharmaFest, hosted by East Carolina University and the Eastern Region Pharma Center (ERPC). 

PharmaFest is an opportunity to connect with the next generation of biopharma talent. As an employer, you’ll engage with students from a wide range of academic backgrounds, share insights about your organization and industry, and help students discover meaningful career pathways in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and related fields. 

East Carolina University enrolls more than 27,000 students across 150+ degree programs, including engineering, data science, chemistry, biology, business, marketing, medicine, clinical laboratory science, design, neuroscience, nursing, communication, distribution and logistics, supply chain management, information and cybersecurity technology, environmental health sciences, hospitality management, and the arts. This diverse talent pipeline offers employers access to students with the technical, scientific, and professional skills needed to support the growing biopharma workforce. 

By participating in PharmaFest, you’ll: 

  • Build brand awareness among students exploring career opportunities. 
  • Showcase the wide variety of careers available within the biopharma industry. 
  • Network with ECU faculty, staff, and regional workforce development partners. 
  • Inspire students to pursue careers that will shape the future of life sciences and advanced manufacturing.

Employer Cost

  • Early Rate: $450 (Ends September 10th), includes up to 5 representatives
  • Regular Rate: $650 (September 10th- October 8th)
  • Event Sponsor: $1,500
    Event Sponsor Benefits
    • Your brand/logo on event website, event materials, and event signs.
    • Pre-event Meet and Greet with ECU Staff, ERCP contacts.
    • Roundtable meetings at ECU
  • Additional Representatives: $25

We recommend preparing the following to enhance your PharmaFest experience and engagement with students:

  • 1 PowerPoint slide for our monitors
  • Information about your company
  • Information on the variety of job opportunities, including those outside the typical STEM disciplines (i.e., management, finance, IT, computer science, marketing, supply chain, etc.)
  • Contact information of any ECU alumni who might enjoy reaching current students and help share their experiences in the industry.
  • An educational component or hands-on activity that provides additional information about the pharma industry specific to your company
  • Details regarding current and future career opportunities within your company
