Reading and Literacy for School Leaders

Course Description

This module is designed for K-12 school leaders such as principals, assistant/vice-principals, and instructional coaches/specialists and other literacy leaders.  It focuses on providing professional development that helps school leaders gain a better understanding about reading/literacy instruction (including what to look for in instructional practice and current hot topics) and how to support teachers in reading/literacy instruction at the school level and beyond.

Technology Requirements

• Ability to send and receive email with and without attachments
• Ability to use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word
• Access to a strong and stable internet connection
• Ability to view video clips from YouTube and other video streaming website
