Overview

If your organization uses lists of any kind, you need to know how to use Microsoft Excel. Earning Microsoft Office Specialist Expert certification sets your professional skill set apart from other Excel users. This course will prepare you for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert certification exam for Excel.

You then learn to use advanced formulas, work with lists, work with illustrations and charts, and use advanced formatting techniques.

You will also learn the more advanced features of Excel and learn to work with pivot tables, audit worksheets, work with data tools, protect documents for collaboration with others, and work with macros.

Requirements

Hardware requirements:

This online program can only be taken on a PC; it is not Mac compatible.

Software Requirements:

Windows 10 and later operating systems and the latest version of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari browsers. (Although Firefox or Chrome is preferred) 

Adobe Acrobat Reader or an alternative software application to open and read PDF files is required.

Microsoft Excel  – there are no free trials

A Word Processor or Microsoft Word

Other:  Manuals are included as downloadable PDFs throughout the program.

Instructor Bio

Tracy Berry has helped many organizations optimize and streamline data solutions. She teaches both onsite and online courses and has her CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) certification. Tracy specializes in teaching graphics, desktop publishing, web design, reporting/productivity applications, Microsoft Office, as well as the creation of online courses with software from leading vendors.

Tracy has been a senior graphic designer/programmer, instructor, and consultant since 1993. She has developed hundreds of logos, marketing materials, websites, and multimedia solutions for customers worldwide, including involvement in large corporate software rollouts. Tracy is also an expert in all Microsoft Office programs.

Note: This course is supported by multiple instructors at Webucator, a national training and courseware development company, all of whom are experts in their fields.

FAQs

1.    Can I register for programs if I am an international student?
Yes, because ed2go programs are online you never have to actually travel to the school.  Most schools offer telephone or online registration.

2.    How long does it take to complete a program?
All of our programs are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace.  When you register, you’ll receive six (6) months to complete the program.  

3.    What if I don’t have enough time to complete my program within the time frame provided?
The time allotted to complete your program has been calculated based on the number of hours for each program, so don’t worry too much about not completing in time. If, after a concerted effort, you are still unable to complete, your Student Advisor will help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that a fee may be charged for an extension.

4.    Can I get financial assistance?
ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid.  In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses.  Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.

5.    What happens when I complete the program? 
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.  In addition, you will receive exam vouchers for the Microsoft Certification Exams 77-727 and 77-728 (Excel).

6.    Am I guaranteed a job?
ed2go programs will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases.  We don’t provide direct job placement services, but our facilitators and career counselors will help you build your resume and are available to give advice on finding your first job.  Facilitators will also be available to use as a professional reference upon completion of the program.  Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.

No.
