In this 100% online course you will learn the foundations of nutrition and how to apply them to create health strategies for your coaching clients.     1. What skills does a Certified Nutrition Coach need?
      In addition to their thorough knowledge of nutrition and its role in achieving health, nutrition coaches work directly with clients to develop and manage nutritional programs. For this, they need effective listening skills, support and empathy, organizational skills and skills in language and persuasion.
    2. How long does it take to complete a program?
      When you register, you’ll receive six (6) months to complete this program.
    3. Is certification important for a nutrition coach?
      The NASM is considered a world leader in the quality of its trainers and coaches and in the scientific rigor of its programs. Earning NASM certification marks you as a serious professional who has undergone a challenging program of instruction to learn and validate your skills. It signals to your coaching clients that your advice is based on tested knowledge and science.
    4. Where do Certified Nutrition Coaches work?
      Nutrition coaches generally work with clients in a private home or office setting. Many also work in facilities such as weight management clinics, health clubs and gyms, spas or in corporate settings where they advise busy professionals on ways to manage their nutrition.
    5. Can I get financial assistance?
      ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid.  In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses.  Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.
    6. What happens when I complete the program? 
      Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion from the ECU Office of Continuing Professional Education.
    7. When can I start the program?
      Our programs are all open enrollment.  You can register and start the program as soon as you are ready. Please note: Once the program curriculum is accessed online or through submission of a material shipment confirmation, refunds cannot be issued.
